The location is spectacular, and not only for the beach access. In less than five minutes, you can drive to the picturesque town pier and watch the famous oystermen hard at work. Driving through the charming neighborhood, a cheerful and inviting crimson colored cottage presents itself. There is an expansive deck looking directly at Wellfleet Harbor, that is surrounded by roses and a grassy lawn. The privacy of the yard, paired with the views of the water that span across the bay to Great Island, create an oasis that puts you at ease as soon as you arrive. Inside, you find a great room with vaulted ceilings and large picture windows that truly make the home feel immersed in the surrounding nature. There is a newly furnished cozy dining space that connects to an adorable kitchen, stocked with all the amenities you need. On the main level there are two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with a full bed, and there is a full bathroom with a shower and tub as well. Upstairs, connecting rooms offer a queen, a full size bed, and one twin size bed, along with a shared full bathroom. There is AC in each bedroom. Thoughts on a recent stay at Winswept: the Wellfleet Bay and sandy beach 50 steps away from the house, blue skies over oyster flats at low tide, the deck looking out over the water for morning coffee, a walk along the water to the town pier and ice cream cones, close proximity to shops in town and excellent restaurants, a large living room doubling as a game space on a rainy day, cozy bedrooms that hold echoes of years of family time on Cape Cod. There is so much to love about time spent at Winswept Cottage. The house is a gem, relaxed, unassuming, comfortable - the perfect place to smell Cape pines and salt water breezes while decompressing from the rush of life.

My husband and I stayed in the Harborside Haven house for a week in September. It was glorious! The beach is right across the street and the Atlantic coast beeches are minutes away... The town is a typical "cape town" with a good grocery store and many restaurants to choose from and Provincetown is only minutes away. We went on a whale watch tour (which I have done many times) and this was by far the best one I have ever experienced. It's all right there!

We had a lovely vacation at the little red house in Wellfleet. It felt like a true beach vacation as I had experienced when I was young. The moisture in the air, the smells of the ocean, and sandy feet. The house is perfectly situated just steps away from Wellfleet Harbor, a very relaxing place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the AM or a cocktail in the evening. I even took the kids down for a night time walk with flashlights for fun. Nighttime shell hunting! They had a blast. The proximity in general was great for the kids to run around on the beach with ease and head up to the house for lunch on the days we didn't want to go to the beach. The house is plenty spacious, with a large living area to play games, do puzzles, read your book, etc. The beds were comfortable and fans were provided in every room, however the owners did mention they are investing in air conditioning. The town of Wellfleet is adorable! Cute shops and great restaurants, all very close...I just can't get enough seafood when I'm on Cape Cod! The owners left a lovely photo book sharing memories from many, many years in this home with their family...which really made it all the more delightful! Enjoy your trip to the little red house on Wellfleet Harbor :)

Location, location, location!
-Fifty footsteps from Wellfleet Bay ideal for children and adults not wanting to tackle the waves, wonderful walks and perfect for sunrises or sunsets.
-Minutes from shops, restaurants, and beaches that are accessible with a Wellfleet residential sticker.
-The cottage is ideal for multigenerational families with a large living room, a deck and garden offering kids ample room to run around.
-Four bedrooms and two full bathrooms gave everyone enough space.
We loved our week!
