Discover Harwich
Nestled along the shoreline of Nantucket Sound, Harwich offers miles of beautiful warm-water beaches and three picturesque harbors. Downtown Harwich Port is home to a number of upscale boutiques and popular dining establishments. Many restaurants in town also offer outdoor seating and live music. The Beer Garden, Ember, Mad Minnow and Brax Landing are all great outdoor drinking and dining venues. Brax Landing is one of the only waterfront restaurants on the Cape, and has a large deck with lots of outdoor seating.
Bank Street and Red River are two of the most popular beaches, offering soft, white sand and warm, gentle waves. Great for families with young kids! Visitors and residents alike also enjoy the freshwater beaches, boating and fishing of 700-acre Long Pond. Harwich has many excellent freshwater and saltwater fishing opportunities, from Long Pond to Bells Neck to fishing charters out of Saquatucket Harbor.
Harwich also offers a variety of entertainment, from trampolines and banana boats to mini golf and ice cream (Sundae School and Schoolhouse are the best!) There are also unique experiences, such as cranberry bog tours, the Cape Cod Lavender Farm, the nature trails of Hawksnest State Park, summer concerts at Brooks Park, and more. Harwich also has a great public library, with many events throughout the summer for kids.
